Vegan Restaurants in Las Vegas We Wouldn’t Go Back To (And Why)

After eating our way across vegan restaurants in Las Vegas, we’ve had some incredible vegan meals—and some major letdowns.

We’re always open to trying new places, but as full-time vegan travelers, we also stay honest about what’s worth it and what’s not.

Here’s a list of Las Vegas vegan restaurants we likely won’t return to, and why they didn’t make the cut.

1. Chef Kenny’s Vegan Dim Sum (South of Chinatown)

We gave this spot a second try after a few years, hoping things had improved. Sadly, it ended up being one of the blandest and most overpriced American-Chinese vegan meals we’ve had.

What We Didn’t Like: Sushi, dim sum, and stir-fry dishes lacked flavor and freshness.

2. VeggiEat (Henderson)

This place offers a buffet, but it missed the mark. The food was overly salty, and oddly enough, rice wasn’t even included. It felt like they were cutting corners.

What We Didn’t Like: Salty curry and stir-fries, tired-looking buffet trays, very few buffet options.

3. Xiao Long Dumplings (Chinatown)

Vegan dumplings sound like a dream, but these didn’t deliver. The flavors were forgettable, and the Dan Dan noodles felt off.

What We Didn’t Like: Bland dumplings, non-traditional noodle dishes.

4. The Noodle Man (Chinatown)

This spot is part of the same kitchen group as Chubby Boy BBQ. That explains why everything tasted generic. We expected more, especially from the noodle dishes.

What We Didn’t Like: Almost no vegan noodle options. Mapo tofu lacked spice and depth.

5. Komol Thai Restaurant (Off the Strip)

They use vegan meats, but the flavor just didn’t feel like Thai food to us. Nothing about the meal felt balanced or craveable.

What We Didn’t Like: Flat curries and stir-fries. Not close to the Thai flavor profile we’re used to.

6. Daikon Vegan Sushi (North of Charleston Heights)

We used to love Daikon, but things changed. On our last visit, one dish was so dry and flavorless we barely touched it. With rising prices, that kind of miss stands out.

What We Didn’t Like: A rice bowl that was dry and bland. Nothing else stood out enough to go back.

7. Stay Tuned Burgers (North of Strip)

They had just one vegan burger on the menu. It was okay, but for a specialty burger pop-up, it felt basic and overpriced.

What We Didn’t Like: Only one vegan option, and it didn’t feel worth the hype or cost.

8. Master Kim’s Korean BBQ (Multiple Locations)

Master kim's Korean BBQ is one of the vegan restaurants in Las Vegas to avoid! It's not worth the money and truly does not represent true Korean BBQ.
Don’t let the picture lie to you. The texture of meat is really weird and everything burns on the metal plate.

We were excited to try their vegan all-you-can-eat option. Sadly, it was way too salty, and the textures were off. We left feeling disappointed—and a little ripped off.

What We Didn’t Like: Overly salty dishes, weird textures, and there are no free side dishes. Everything sticks to the metal plate and comes off completely burnt.

9. Los Dos Amigos Mexican Grill (Sartini Plaza)

This place has vegan tacos, but they were so salty I couldn’t even finish one. It just didn’t feel worth the money or calories.

What We Didn’t Like: Excessive salt, lack of flavor balance, and nothing memorable about the food.

10. Lucy Ethiopian Restaurant (South Chinatown)

We used to go here a lot, but after finding Little Ethiopian Restaurant nearby, we just can’t go back. The portions are smaller, and the price is going up.

What We Didn’t Like: Smaller portions, higher prices, and less flavor compared to our new Ethiopian find.

11. Prone to Plants (Located inside Tacotarian)

We tried their Sunday $0.99 nugget special, which turned into a confusing experience.

We were told it included 8 pieces but ended up getting charged over $12. After asking, we got a partial refund and were told it was actually $0.99 per nugget.

The whole thing felt unclear—and the nuggets weren’t even good.

What We Didn’t Like: Confusing pricing, not worth the cost, and the nuggets lacked flavor and were dry.

12. Durvo (Southwest Las Vegas)

We were curious about this upscale vegan restaurant, but the food didn’t match the vibe or the price.

The crab cake appetizer tasted more like an Indian samosa, and our steak and mashed potato entrées were underwhelming.

The sauce on the steak didn’t complement the dish at all—I ended up scraping it off.

Sides like grilled asparagus and carrot slices felt oddly basic, especially for a place trying to feel elevated.

What We Didn’t Like: Crab cake appetizer, steak entrée, and sides felt uninspired. Overall, way overpriced for the quality.

And now, something totally unrelated but too fun not to share…

Totally Random But Totally Want Them

Okay, most of the time I don’t own these. But every week I stumble across a few random Amazon finds that are too fun, quirky, or useful-looking not to share. Once in a while, I’ve actually gotten something like it and use it all the time. And this is one of the items I’ve been using for years. Either way, I kinda want them all. And maybe you will too?

Stainless Steel Wide Mouth Mason Jars Lids (Set of 2)

A reusable mason jar lid that can be reused forever! Let's create a eco-friendly environment!

I use something super similar to these almost every day.

They’re my go-to when I grab aguas frescas or boba—just pop one on a mason jar, add a straw, and I’m set.

Way better than tossing another plastic cup, and honestly, it feels a little cooler too.
