First Look: What are Chik’n Fries?

MorningStar Farms Chik’n Fries are crispy plant-based strips.

They’re seasoned with Pringles Original flavor for a unique twist.

These snacks are protein-packed and easy to prepare.

Packaging and Preparation

The packaging immediately caught my attention with its bright, fun design and the promise of a Pringles-inspired taste.

Inside, the Chik’n Fries were perfectly portioned and easy to prepare.

I opted for the air fryer method, which took only about 8 minutes. The fries came out golden and crispy, just as advertised.

Taste and Texture

The flavor was distinctly reminiscent of Pringles Original—salty, slightly tangy, and addictive. The breading was crispy without being greasy, which is always a win.

However, the “chik’n” filling had a slightly spongy texture, which might not be for everyone.

While it’s not an exact match to real chicken, it’s a satisfying plant-based alternative.

Nutritional Breakdown

Each serving has 11 grams of protein, great for a quick snack.

These fries are a decent snack or meal addition for those looking to up their plant-based protein intake.

But, the sodium content is on the higher side (670 mg per serving). Choose wisely if you’re limiting salt intake.

How to Serve Chik’n Fries

These Chik’n Fries shine in their versatility.

You can enjoy them on their own with a dipping sauce (ranch or BBQ pairs beautifully) or incorporate them into a meal—think wraps, salads, or even as a topping for loaded fries.

Hidden Valley's original ranch plant powered dairy free salad dressing! Flavor and cruelty-free!

Bachan's Japanese BBQ sauce 2 pack with 1 original and 1 yuzu. These should be great dipping sauce for Pringles chik'n fingers.

They’re easy to customize, making them a great freezer staple.

They’re perfect for quick meals or as a party snack.
